Welcome to MacResearchSW,
This new website offers news, reviews and resources for academic software on the net. It is run Jan Schenk, a prospective PhD student in sociology at the University of Cape Town.
I have started this site because a) I had too much time on my hands, and b) I could not find a decent site offering guidance when I was looking for academic software for the Mac myself.
Right now only a few software titles are covered, but I am giving my best to keep the site going and growing. Software from other disciplines than the humanities will be reviewed, relevant links will be added to the review pages and the Resources section will include more links and texts (tutorials, journal articles, etc.). If you want to help, please drop me a line.
